This listing is for an underkimono - called a "juban" in Japanese - which would be worn under a man's kimono. Juban often feature designs that reflect the interests of their owner, but are rarely seen in public since they are layered underneath a kimono. Just in inch or two of the over-collar is visible, though you may catch a glimpse of the sleeve edge at the wrist. Juban make great casual robes.
This juban features vases and other broken pottery elements in browns and blues against a blue-gray background.
The over-collar is blue, and the juban is unlined. The fabric is a crepe lightweight synthetic blend.
Juban make great robes and cover ups, but watch the video below to see how to layer the juban with a kimono.
This kimono does not come with an obi/belt/sash but we do make simple cotton sashes that can be added as an option when you order. We will choose a color that goes well with it.
If you'd like to display the kimono, we offer hanging rods in five colors (brown, black, natural, white, and red) - see the Add a Display Rod? tab below.
